We’re back on Oʻahu and so grateful to be continuing this work!

Over the past couple of months, through January and February, Manu o Lōkahi Stroke Foundation has supported over a dozen families with access to essential medical equipment during stroke recovery (a small nod to the month of love)

This truly makes my heart so full.

Every family we’ve helped has reminded me why I started this nonprofit in the first place. It brings me back to how we felt after my grandma’s stroke; how overwhelming everything was, and how quickly you’re expected to figure things out.

When a loved one comes home from the hospital, there’s so much to think about all at once. You’re trying to make the home safe, figure out what equipment is needed, and how to actually get it. Shower chairs, commodes, walkers; all of it it adds up quickly, and it can feel incredibly overwhelming. One piece of equipment can make someone’s day-to-day life safer, easier, and a little less stressful.

If you or someone you know needs support, please don’t hesitate to reach out, we’re here to help.

Talk to you soon,

Elysia
